It's not fiction, but I'm not published in a magazine. Authority Lifestyle gave me for assignment to write a piece on Alex Stines, one of my team mates in martial arts and also one of the best break dancers in Montreal. I wrote a portrait, tracing the path he took that lead from from break dancing to Mixed Martial Arts.
The article is a single page, but Authority liked my style and I am to become a regular contributor.They are a magazine covering a double duty. MMA Authority covers mixed martial arts and Authority Lifestyle is a satellite supplement covering the culture around the fastest growing sport in America. Needless to say, my contacts in mixed martial arts have helped me to get a foot in the door, but I'm happy I'm not published in a widely distributed magazine. Authority is going to publish an online version soon.
