Great interview I found on YouTube. There's not much of them. He's discussing the making of his novel Falling Man, which is structured around the 9/11 tragedy. DeLillo had already earned recognition in Historical fiction field with Libra (who depicated the murder of JFK) and it's interesting how he claims his research was secondary to using his imagination and his intuition. Great quote also: "Journalism is the first draft of History and somehow, fiction is the last".
