*notice the Chapters bag in the background and my work computer screen on the left. Classy*
All right, let's see what I could come up with this time.
David Foster Wallace - This Is Water: Some Thoughts, Delivered On A Special Occasion, About Living A Compassionate Life : I know, how geeky-collector-consumerist of me to have bought this ridiculously small book. I just needed to. I'm going to read it alone, in my apartment this week-end and have my little This Is Water moment. And hopefully an epiphany. And live to blog about it.
Toni Morrison - Beloved: I pussied enough out of this one. The worst part is that there was a copy of Mother Night available that almost made me change my mind, but I stuck with Morrison. I will read it, understand why it was banned, why it was stupid that it was banned and review it for you. Two female writers in two shopping sprees. Somebody stop me, I am OUT OF CONTROL.
John Irving - A Prayer For Owen Meany: Taken from the recommendation of fellow blogger Greg Z. I had in mind to go for The World According To Garp, but according to a librarian over at Indigo, a teacher has it on the curriculum and the copies go away fast. Not disappointed as Prayer is often hailed as Irving's best.
Have you read any of those? Have you liked them?
