Dead End Follies Awards - Nominees For Best Book Cover

The old saying wants you not to judge a book by its cover. Unfortunately, this saying doesn't get that for some writers, a good cover might be their best weapon to rack up sales against the household names of literature. When your name is unknown and your book is placed in between a Pulitzer winner and Dan Brown on the shelves, your book cover might just seal the deal and sell your writing. This award is meant to reward outstanding covers, that could sell the feeling of the book in one image, while hooking the readers imagination with something mysterious and universal enough to appeal to them.

The nominees are...

Julianna Lee for Megan Abbott's THE END OF EVERYTHING

Rodrigo Luff and Claudia Noble for John Hornor Jacobs' SOUTHERN GODS

The office of Paul Sahre for Chuck Klosterman's KILLING YOURSELF TO LIVE: 85% OF A TRUE STORY

Rachell Sumpter for Dave Eggers' ZEITOUN

Who do you think should win? The announcement will be made in early December. Meanwhile, speculate!
