Upcoming Audiovisual Goodness

GOD BLESS AMERICA: This came out in 2011, but I saw the trailer the first time last week. I'm pissed. You know why? Because it's the kind of idea I should've had. It's like, one of the greatest idea for a story in the history of everything. Now I'll have to watch it and get inspired to do something else instead. Bobcat Goldwaith's WORLD GREATEST DAD didn't exactly swept me off my feet, but I have the feeling this will.

DJANGO UNCHAINED: Latest Tarantino movie. It's coming out next Christmas and this is the first official trailer. There are a few intriguing points about it, like Leo di Caprio as a bad guy, but overall, I don't know. I'm sure the dialogue is going to be great and that there will be a few satisfying death scenes, but I'm not really sure where this is going and how much of this has really been done before. Problem with Tarantino is that sometimes he doesn't seem to know what he wants to do and that sometimes happen in the middle of a movie.

SAVAGES: This is coming out next month and I will have the most difficult time to show restraint and read the Don Winslow novel before going to see the movie. Yeah, it looks a little "licked" with teenie boppers like Blake Lively in it, but there's also John Travolta, Salma Hayek, Benicio Del Toro and Demian Bichir. So I'm expecting a lot. Winslow's a great writer and the trailer is nutty enough to give me hope about the full product. It's all about how the violence escalates
