Book Riot

Today was the launch of the mysterious BOOK RIOT, a project that's been gathering buzz over on Twitter for the last few weeks. Nobody had any idea what the hell it was about until today. Turns out it's a pretty cool project, born of the mind of Jeff O'Neal (also known as Reading Ape) and one of his buddies. This site will offer a collaborative effort from book bloggers to create a news and commentary site about literature that will give readers an alternative to the Huffington Post.

So far, so good. I've been very impressed by the clever design of the site, it's dynamism and it's user-friendly interface. It's easy to comment, interact and to feel a sense of belonging to the site. I predict a very bright future for BOOK RIOT and I invite you to go check it out for yourselves. Of course it's still a newborn project, but it's going to gather steam very quick. From now on, you will be able to find links to the BOOK RIOT in the blogroll section of Dead End Follies. Drop by and say hello to the rioters, who are among the cream of the crop of the blogosphere. This site is going places.
