What are you looking for, homie?

Lacuna Coil - Honeymoon Suite

Long before ruining the greatest hits of Megadeth, Lacuna Coil and their lead singer Cristina Scabbia released decent albums. My favorite song of them was always HONEYMOON SUITE. Everbody likes to eavesdrop on a lovers breakup from reason that go from "that's hilarious" to "fuck, I've been there." That's probably what inspired Scabbia and Andrea Ferro to write this song. My favorite part about it is that whatever Cristina has to say, the guy answers: "get out of my liiiiiiiiiiffffeeee," which shows a surprising clarity of resolve in that situation. It's supposed to be a song about lovers being torn apart, yet the discussion is slightly one-sided. Like many bands of its ilk, Lacuna Coil was only a shooting star, created around the smashing success of Finnish band Nightwish, but they had their moments and HONEYMOON SUITE was one of them. Enjoy!

Lacuna Coil - HONEYMOON SUITE

Close your eyes
don't you feel the rejection, baby?
does it hurt?
come there now
I've got something to tell you, honey...
I don't want you back

Won't you take me back
won't you take me back with you
won't you take me back
won't you wrap me with your love again...

Get out of my life
I know I failed you, but I'll make it up
get out my life
I know I failed you, just let me try again

You're to blame
I'm no more your business

Can't you see I'm praying
for your forgiveness

Shut your mouth
I don't need your affection, darling
does it hurt?
come here now
I've got something to tell you, honey...
I don't want you back

Won't you take me back
won't you take me back with you
won't you take me back
won't you wrap me with your love again...

You're to blame
I'm no more your business

Can't you see I'm praying
for your forgiveness

I will do anything you want
but hold me forever
be a nightmare in my sleep
scare me forever
like a bullet in my soul
kill me forever
all the lies I have sold to you
are soul thorns in my mouth

Won't you take me back
won't you take me back with you
won't you take me back
won't you wrap me with your love again...

Get out of my life
I know I failed you, but I'll make it up
get out my life
I know I failed you, just let me try again

You're to blame
I'm no more your business

Can't you see I'm praying
for your forgiveness

You're to blame
I'm no more your business

Can't you see I'm praying
for your forgiveness

You're to blame
I'm no more your business

Can't you see I'm praying
for your forgiveness

You're to blame
I'm no more your business

Can't you see I'm praying
for your forgiveness
