Planned Service Interruption
Next Friday, I will take a plane to France along with Josie and her parents for a two weeks stay in the land of wine, baguettes, modern art and other, not-so-stereotypical things about this country I haven't discovered yet. This also means that I’ll be MIA from Dead End Follies for two weeks. The site will resume its activities as normal on either May 15 or 16, depending on the amount of content I will have consumed on the trip. I usually have a lot of time to read and binge in such circumstances, so a Monday restart is probable.
In all transparency, I'm looking forward to this creative break. It's been one hell of a year in that regard : the site has been doing better than ever, I've finished the first draft of a novel (something I've fought a lot of demons to make happen) and swanky media day job not only lets me be myself, but they're celebrating it to a certain degree. So, I've been rockin' and rollin' through 2023, but if being in my forties taught me anything, it's that breaks are awesome and that they allow you to get better when used efficiently.
This week will otherwise resume as normal on Wednesday. See you in May!
